New issue 3669 by [email protected]: rsolve(F(n) + F(n - 2) + F(n - 1),F(n)) return 0
http://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/detail?id=3669

But rsolve able to solve a more generic problem:
In [17]: rsolve(x/2*F(n) + x/2*F(n - 2) + F(n - 1),F(n))
Out[17]:
                      n                            n
   ⎛   __________    ⎞       ⎛ ⎛   __________    ⎞⎞
   ⎜  ╱    2         ⎟       ⎜ ⎜  ╱    2         ⎟⎟
   ⎜╲╱  - x  + 1  - 1⎟       ⎜-⎝╲╱  - x  + 1  + 1⎠⎟
C₀⋅⎜─────────────────⎟  + C₁⋅⎜────────────────────⎟
   ⎝        x        ⎠       ⎝         x          ⎠

Mathematica:

In[1]:= RSolve[F[n] + F[n - 2] + F[n - 1] == 0, F, n]
Out[1]=
                        1    I         n           1    I         n
{{F -> Function[{n}, (-(-) - - Sqrt[3])  C[1] + (-(-) + - Sqrt[3])  C[2]]}}
                        2    2                     2    2
