nsimplify, even with hints, is very fast as resolving such expressions:
a=sqrt(1 + sqrt(3)) + sqrt(3 + 3*sqrt(3)) - sqrt(10 + 6*sqrt(3))
b=(-sqrt(2)*sqrt(sqrt(5) + 5)/4 - sqrt(10)*sqrt(sqrt(5)+ 5)/20 +
sqrt(5)*sqrt(2*sqrt(5) + 5)/5)
c=((90 + 34*sqrt(7))**Rational(1,3))
nsimplify(a)
0
nsimplify(b)
0
nsimplify(c)
sqrt(7) + 3
