something at 34696f76efdc449ce1cb904781f3983c0a000728 broke this
formerly
factor(sqrt(1-x**2))
sqrt(-(x - 1)*(x + 1))
now
factor(sqrt(1-x**2))
I*sqrt(-x - 1)*sqrt(-x + 1)
Hopefully the code consolidation spoken of there will make this easy to
track down.
