x*(x + y) is decomposed using heuristics so x is treated as a univariate
polynomial and x + y as bivariate. Then they are compared, but for
comparison we use degree in the main variable, number of factors, terms in
recursive dense representation (in this order). If the first two are the
same (as it is in this case), then we have to compare [1, 0] with [[1], [1,
0]], so obviously that can't work in py3.
