New issue 3983 by [email protected]: Issue with png pretty printing in Python 3
http://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/detail?id=3983

In my branch https://github.com/sympy/sympy/pull/2397, if you enable debugging and do

from sympy import *
x, y, z = symbols('x y z')
init_printing(use_latex='png')
Integral(sqrt(1/x), x)

in Python 3, you will see

png printing: _preview_wrapper exception raised: TypeError("string argument expected, got 'bytes'",)

It seems that IPython swallows exceptions, and just silently moves to the next printer.
