I'm moving this to high priority because this seriously limits the ability
to work through something step by step. And unlike the interactive session,
using ";" followed by a variable name does not print the variable -- you
have to explicitly say "print"
ans=expand(f(x+a)-f(a)); ans
ans
...
ok=ok+1;print ok
-x*(2*a + x + 2) + 1
