That might get unwieldy for larger matrices, though. Remember that at each
stage it would have to branch off in each direction. I'm not sure if the
assumptions are up to the work necessary to avoid unnecessary branches yet
either.
In general, SymPy assumes hat symbols are independent of one another, and
that they are nonzero (if you want, it works over the rational function
field Q(a, b, c)).
But feel free to give this a shot. It would be cool if it worked.
