Apparently it's quite easy to use the Anaconda Python. See
https://gist.github.com/dan-blanchard/7045057. Anyone want to give it a
try. Unless I'm missing something, it should be way faster than compiling
numpy/matplotlib/etc. from source. Unfortunately, there's no conda package
for gmpy. We can try to build one, and put it on binstar, though. The hard
part is building its dependency, GMP. I didn't have much luck on Mac OS X,
but it's probably easier on Linux.
