The "collect" function will commute non-commuting quantum operators:
from sympy import *
from sympy.physics.quantum import *
A = Operator('A')
B = Operator('B')
expr = A*B + B*A
simplify(expr)
A*B + B*A
collect(expr, A)
2*A*B
