A better solution is to use Symbols and afterwards substitute in the values:

var('sn se Dprime, Q')
(sn, se, Dprime, Q)
mc = 1 + se/sn
solve(Eq(1/(pi * (mc * Dprime - S('1/2'))), Q), se)
[-sn + sn/(2*Dprime) + sn/(pi*Dprime*Q)]
