Comment #8 on issue 2753 by [email protected]:
series(1/cos(x/log(x)),x,0,5) does not work
http://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/detail?id=2753
Sure, I'll send a PR for this issue.
I didn't understand what you meant by removing the logx variable from the
actual output. The output should contain the logx variable if there is a
log(x) term, right?
Also, I noticed the order of series is sometimes not correct depending on
what the logx term is kept as.
An example:-
In [5]: e.series(x, 0, 5, logx=z)
Out[5]:
2 4
x 5⋅x ⎛ 5⎞
1 + ──── + ───── + O⎝x ⎠
2 4
2⋅z 24⋅z
In [8]: e.series(x, 0, 5, logx=logx)
Out[8]:
4 2
5⋅x x ⎛ 5⎞
──────── + ─────── + 1 + O⎝x ⎠
4 2
24⋅logx 2⋅logx
Changing logx=logx from logx=z changed the order. Is this a bug or an
expected behaviour?
This does not seem related to this issue, so if it is a bug, I'll open a
new issue and try to send a patch.
Thank you!
