Dear Colleague,

The sixteenth Electronics New Zealand Conference (ENZCon 2009) is being held
at the University of Otago 18-20 November 2009.

You are warmly invited to submit papers in the broad area of electronics.
This includes, but is not limited to:
        Electronics
        Mechatronics/Robotics
        Imaging and Inference
        Signal-Processing
        Opto-electronics
        Radio Astronomy and RF Instrumentation
        Communications
        Simulation and Modelling
        Electronics/Mechatronics education
        Related physics and engineering fields

Submitted papers should be a minimum of 4 pages in length and a maximum of 6
pages (double column, Times 10pt font, single spaced - LaTeX, OpenOffice and
Word templates will be provided). It is acknowledged that results of work
will not necessarily be available at the date of paper submission. In such
cases it is appropriate that the submitted paper include the full introduction
and background information, as much of the methodology as possible, and an
indication of the results expected by the time of conference presentation.
Successful authors will be given the opportunity to update their submission
prior to publication.

Papers will be refereed by a national committee of experts. All successful
papers will be fully published in the conference proceedings, regardless of
whether the actual presentation is of an oral or a poster format. There will
be an evening poster session with drinks and nibbles on the 18th of November.

Students undertaking significant research projects are encouraged to submit a
paper detailing their work. The ENZCon series of conferences supports
students and especially first time presenters. The projects do however need
to be of a sufficient standard to warrant national presentation.

Important Dates:
        Paper Submission: 31 September 2009
Notification of Paper Acceptance: 16 October 2009
        Final Camera-Ready Paper Submission: 30 October 2009
        Conference Dates: 18-20 November 2009

Further details including registration, accommodation, paper templates etc,
will be posted on the conference website at:
