Hello everyone, I am Arnab Basu. I'm a student of 4th year Integrated M.Sc. Applied Mathematics at Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India. I have been fascinated by the concept of open source since last year when I attended two great conferences namely SAGE-DAYS 25, India & Scipy, 2010, India.Since then I have tried to use open source tools in all my academic works.
I was reading the wikipedia page of Sympy and I saw that it does not support Graph Theory compared to some other popular computer algebra systems. I would like to work on the implementation of graph theory in Sympy. I would like to implement graph algorithms and also visualization of graphs. I have taken courses on Data Structures in C++ and Graph Theory and Also have done a semester project on Implementing various sorting algorithms in C++. I have also participated in Textbook conversion in the above mentioned conferences( which involved solving mathematical problems of various fields like Ordinary Differential equations, Fourier Series, Matrix etc. using Sage, Python, Numpy, Scipy, Pylab etc.. I have posted a very simple module to plot complete graph of n- vertices...https://github.com/Arnab1401/Graph I hope to hear from all of you regarding the feasibilty of my proposal and any suggestions which would help in drafting my formal application for GSoC 2011...I really want to work hard on this project and your feedback is very important to me... Thank You very much for your time and interest.. Arnab Basu -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sympy" group.
