In the GSoC idea page the Groebner part is outdated. Maybe an idea could be the implementation of the generic Groebner walk converting between Groebner basis of finite-dimensional ideals; there are efficient algorithms for it, by Tran (2000) and Fukuda et al. (2007); last year it has been done in the zero-dimensional case (FGML algorithm), mentoring Mateusz; @Mateusz do you think that it is doable?
