I would also like to make `_diff_wrt` an optional argument. As it stands it is impossible to make new types of derivatives because of this handy but non-rigorous abuse of notation. All that does not have the _diff_wrt attribute will just be treated as before (that means that _eval_derivative will actually be called without mangling the input which is extremely important!)
