Your question is fine. You need to give people at least 24 hours to answer your questions on the mailing list. Remember that we are just volunteers, and that we probably don't live in the same time zone as you.
Regarding your question, I don't get the same thing. dsolve(d, f) and dsolve(d, f, prep=False) both give f(x) = C1/x for me. Perhaps this is some bug you introduced in your branch?
