In case you haven't updated your version of git recently, you might want to 
get the most recent version. In 1.8.3 (and perhaps a version or so earlier) 
there is now an option to search for "changing lines matching" so if you 
are looking for a line that was modified (not added or deleted) you can 
find it. e.g. if you want to know if function foo has had any changes in 
args you can search for "def foo".
