It obviously is dependent in how wide your browser is (it doesn't run off for me). http://typographyforlawyers.com/line-length.html recommends making lines between two and three alphabets long.
I could also play with making the css specify the width of the body, instead of the padding. I don't know how to do it, though, because I don't know anything about css.
