GSoC won't start up again until next summer, but you're more than
welcome to start out now.

The best way to start is to find some easy issue and try to fix it
(there are quite a few labeled in our issue tracker
https://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/list?&q=label%3Aeasytofix). The
guide on how to get the code and do development as at
https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/development-workflow. And just ask
here if you have any questions.
