So as some of you have noticed, SymPy has been accepted to GSoC again. Mentors, please go to http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/homepage/google/gsoc2014 and register to be a mentor for SymPy (also do this if you can't mentor but are willing to help review applications). Please do this now so that you can save me from headaches later.
Students, look at our ideas page (https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/gsoc-2014-ideas) and application template (https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/gsoc-2014-application-template) and start discussing ideas here on the list. Once you have a concrete idea, you can start writing a proposal (see the application template for details on the proposal). Also remember that SymPy has a patch requirement. You must have a pull request merged to SymPy to be accepted (there are also details about this in the application template). Good luck to everyone. Let's have another good year for GSoC!
