Hey Aleksandra There was a proposal<https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/GSoC-2013-Application-Tarang-Patel%3A-Group-Theory>for greater Group Theory support last year, however it wasn't selected. Hope you can get some ideas from there.
I too am interested in Group Theory, in fact am doing a course on Abstract Algebra this semester, and am excited about the prospect of a data structure for representing groups. I hope that a Group Theory related project is selected this year.
