Let me search for it. I think I know which one you refer to. However there was little concrete information in there: "Asymptotic estimation of oscillating functions using an interval calculus" by John Shakell "On the computation of limsups" by Joris van der Hoeven Probably the best reference to read in case we really want to go beyond what Gruntz can do is the thesis "Automated Asymptotics" of Joris van der Hoeven.
