There may be an error in the installation instructions at http://docs.sympy.org/dev/install.html, which states:
"When downloading the archive, make sure to get the correct version (Python 2 or Python 3). If you’re not sure which one to use, you probably want the Python 2 version." I found only one archive, and I found another doc (sorry, can't find its url now) that said to use either python2 or python3 to install.
