Hi all, I was discussing this idea with Ondřej the other day. Before putting this idea in the wiki, I wanted to discuss it here.
Every year, some organisations have a dedicated bug fixing GSoC project. The main aim here is to tackle and close off as many issues in the issue tracker as possible. However this will require a very dedicated student and he/she has to adapt to different parts of code in a very short time. SymPy can hugely benefit from such a project.
