Google will open their GSoC organization applications tomorrow. We need to submit our application by February 6. Note this is about SymPy itself apply to Google to become a mentoring organization. If you are a student interested in applying, please write a new message to this mailing list about it.
IMPORTANT: Everyone who is interested in mentoring this year, please add your name and email to https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/GSoC-2019-Ideas#potential-mentors. You can also add any specific projects you are interested in mentoring. Note that you will only end up being a mentor for a student if you want to mentor them. I encourage the people who were students last year to consider mentoring this year. Aside from this, any help updating our ideas page would be useful. Old ideas that are already implemented should be removed or updated with what still needs to be done. Addition of new ideas or any edits to existing ideas is helpful too, such as linking to helpful resources or issue tracker discussions. If anyone wants to suggest any edits to the other relevant pages, please do so as well. Feel free to just edit them on the wiki. https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/GSoC-2019-Organization-Application (don't edit this one too heavily until tomorrow when I can confirm that the questions are the same this year) https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/GSoC-2019-Student-Instructions https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/GSoC-2019-Application-Template https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/GSoC-2019-Ideas Aaron Meurer -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sympy" group.
