Google has announced they are running Google Season of Docs again this year https://developers.google.com/season-of-docs. We should apply to participate again.
Organization applications open April 13, and the deadline for us to submit will be May 4. We will worry about the application when it opens, but for now, if anyone has any ideas about documentation projects, please add them to the ideas page https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/GSoD-2020-Ideas. Note that GSoD is targeted toward technical writers, so the ideas should focus on writing or improving documentation. Ideas that preliminary focus on writing code or design work are not in scope for GSoD. If you are a technical writer who might be interested in working with SymPy for GSoD this year, please take a look at the above ideas page and feel free to reach out.
