Hi all,

It is my pleasure to announce the release of SymPy 1.7rc1. This is the
release candidate for SymPy 1.7. This is a preview release and it is
not recommended to use it in production settings. It is not
anticipated that there will be any further changes before the 1.7
release though.

Please do test out the release candidate with your own code and with
any downstream libraries. If I don't hear of any issues then I will
put out the final release in about a week.

The wheel and sdist files for this release are already uploaded to pypi.
You can install sympy 1.7rc1 with:

$ pip install -U --pre sympy

The release files are also available from Github:

    https://github.com/sympy/sympy/releases/tag/sympy-1.7rc1

There are a large number of changes since 1.6.2. The full release
notes are here:
https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/Release-Notes-for-1.7

Note that there is a section on deprecations and compatibility breaks
at the top of the release notes page that lists a number of
significant changes.

Please report any issues with the release on github:
