Hi Everyone! My name is Yan Wu, a current freshman at MIT pursuing Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Computer Science. I'm excited to join and make contribution to this project!
Python Proficiency: I have coded in python for one year and have taken classes in programming, data science, algorithm. Mathematical Education Level: I have either taken class or placed out of: single and multivariable calculus, differential equation, real analysis, probability and random variable. In high school, I've also taken classes in number theory, graph theory and Non-Euclidean geometry. Particular expertise and interested algorithm: I'm particularly interested in the intersection between mathematics and computer science, such as algorithms, discrete mathematics and data analysis. Level of familiarity with symbolic math systems: I've used Wolfram Alpha extensively and had few experience working with MATLAB. I've had some knowledge about constructing algorithms in python to calculate mathematical expression efficiently, and I'm interested to learn more about this topic. Familiarity with SymPy: I started learning Python in Spyder, which is a project built on SymPy. Other information: I'm born and raise in China and am currently located here as well. Before college, I've attended high school in New Jersey, United States for four years. I'm looking forward to participate and contribute to this project!
