Hi everyone, My name is Levav Ferber Tas, and I'm joining this mailing list because I'm interested in contributing.
I've been programming in python for about 10 years, sometimes in a professional capacity but mostly for myself - most of my time coding python has been spent on solving Projecteuler questions. I've somewhat recently finished a Bachelors in mathematics, with some focus on abstract algebra and some algebraic number theory. Can't say that I'm good at it, but I love it. Recently I've been trying to write a program that calculates Davenports constant, but I haven't gotten it to any reasonable efficiency yet. I hope to eventually have a good enough algorithm and contribute it to Sympy's Number Fields algorithms. For now, my goal is to implement and contribute one of the Number Fields main problems <https://docs.sympy.org/latest/modules/polys/numberfields.html#solving-the-main-problems>. While I wanted to do this anyways, I need a good looking git project for a job opportunity - and my own projects tend to be a documentation-less mess. I haven't been using Sympy that long, and have been using it mostly for Projecteuler, so I'm sure there'll be quite a learning curve. Looking forward to learning from you all, An Israeli-Dutch guy residing in Seoul. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sympy" group.
