If you run the tests with the -v flag you will get more information. Tests are skipped for various reasons, usually because some optional dependency is not installed https://docs.sympy.org/latest/contributing/dependencies.html. Unless you are working on a submodule that uses one of these dependencies, you can ignore those tests.
xfail means that a test is expected to fail. These are tests that are added for behavior that doesn't work yet. You can ignore these.
