Hi everyone, I’m Bhakti, a first-year student interested in working on *Polynomial Algebra improvements* for SymPy (especially GCD, polynomial representations, and root-finding algorithms).
I’ve started exploring the *sympy.polys* module and reading through *polytools.py* and *euclidtools.py.* I also have a project idea where I plan to build a *mini polynomial algebra library* (as a learning prototype) with operations like add/sub/mul/div, GCD, differentiation, basic factorization, and simple root-finding. Before I begin contributing more seriously, I wanted to ask: 1. Are there any beginner-friendly issues in the polys module that are good starting points? 2. Is this project direction aligned with SymPy’s current needs, or should I refine it further?
