I use synapse to send emails via SMTP, specifically, short telephone messages "Bob called please call him back".
The service that is receiving this emails is finding the messages contain an extra '=' (equals) character. If I BCC these emails to myself, they do not contain the equals character. It appears that the equals character is bring inserted where there should be a soft-carriage return at around 80 characters. Where is this likely being inserted: by me sending (a synapse setting), the receiving SMTP server, or, the receiving POP3 server?
