In case of POP3 protocol you can see message size in message list. Then you can download only messages what you wish. And by TOP POP command you can download only message header and X first lines of message. (if X is 0, then you download just message headers.) In case of IMAP4 protocol you have more options for control downloading. (like get just some message part, etc.) -- Lukas Gebauer.
