What is SOAP in the depth?

it is just well formed XML dcoument with SOAP request. Thsi XML is
deliveder by HTTP protocol to some webservice, what produce response
in XML too.

So, SOAP is rules for creating XML documents and rules for reading
XML output. HTTP is used as just transport over the net.

Synapse not contains any XML tool. So, if someone create code for
producing and decoding SOAP XML format, Synapse can be used as
transportion layer.
