Thanks Darek for your input, but unfortunately I can not see any difference to the original HTTPDaemon.Execute routine, so it does not help me really. I'm using the original http unit, only changed from the Form based main unit to a console based version. There must be something else that causes the problem. To me it is very strange, that I can see the "LISTENING" state with netstat, but the "CanRead" never succeeds.
