Hi everyone out there in the opensource Free Pascal world. I am trying to
adventure into the realm of sockets and smtp to send an email to a
specified email address. Nothing fancy, nothing
complicated, just an email with text no attachments. Any ideas? I have
looked around on the Synapse website and found two examples:
Pop3 with SSL

SMTP with TLS
http://synapse.ararat.cz/doku.php/public:howto:smtpsend?s[]=smtpsend
I tried the SMTP with TLS using a GMail email account with the following
result:
SMTP ERROR: Login:???-Other undefined Status
I believe its prefered to use SSL with Gmail SMTP.
Can someone give me some direction please.
