I have been writing a small cmd line tool that tests Multicast connectivity between a MC Source and multiple MC Receivers.
Downloadable here: https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,47264.msg337883.html#ms g337883 It all works perfectly well in a local LAN (broadcast domain). But will it also work in a routed network with different subnets? Or do I have to add any specific methods to work in a routed network? I need this tool so that I can control that a network administrator has done his work for configuring MC in a corporate network. The answer that I am hoping to hear is: Yes, if it works in a LAN it works also in a routed network. Thank you Christian Sporer
