Hi Oleg
I do not know if you are still evaluating HttpCore NIO or not, but I
thought I should keep you in the loop just in case and let you know I
had started working on adding SSL support [1].
We are moving ahead and have decided that HttpCore with the NIO
extensions *IS* the way forward for us :-) , and I will be checking in
our transport code to the Synapse SVN shortly now that your SNAPSHOTs
are available as well. Hence it is great indeed to hear about the SSL
support you are working on.
I also would like to
simplify the client-side API in the process and try to reduce the amount
of plumbing code required for it. This is likely to entail some API
changes and to break compatibility with ALPHA3. If you are not working
directly with code in the trunk you should not be affected. I will
republish the snapshots only when the trunk stabilizes and HTTPCORE-26
is resolved.
This would be fine with us, and if I do come across any urgent issue I
will inform you to get it sorted out.
thanks
asankha
