I was at Jim Jag's keynote in ApacheCon this week and he was talking
about Jakarta setting up a bunch of TLPs - HTTPComponents being one of
them.
He then went on to hint he thought it would be a good idea for some of
the WS projects to do the same - and become Top Level Projects.
It made me think about Synapse - and I think it would be a good idea.
Although we are based firmly on the ws.apache.org <http://ws.apache.org>
codebase, we have moved beyond webservices to support FTP, File, CSV etc
and I think it would help let the world know we are a fully fledged ESB
broader that just the WS-* standards.
Thoughts?
