All is not well though. I'm getting a NullPointerException while Synapse
processes the response and thus my client doesn't get a response
Try the small fix that I checked in just now, and I think you would get
over the NPE. However, this confirms that the server sent you a SOAP
fault - if you could view it in the SSL debug, you could understand
whats wrong.
Also, is the plan
to continue to support the non NIO senders and recieves or to drop them from
the offering. Let me know.
As the NIO transports stabilize we will only extend and support it and
at a later time donate it to Axis2. The non-NIO transports are
maintained by Axis2 currently and you do not get a HTTPS listener etc,
and there may be other limitations such as (I think) writing of custom
transport headers etc.
