Synaptinc 0.57 version introduced a strange bug/feature;)
Older versions had searching by name selected as default. Now a long-taking
and resource-hungry searching method (full text search in packages
descriptions) is selected. I think it is a bug and causes great slowdown.
The default search method should be reverted to the old method - searching in
pacgage names.
Another suggestion: While searching in names and descriptions, the GUI freezes
for several seconds. Wouldn't it be better to display a search progress dialog
instead, so the application doesn't feel like 'hung' ?
