I am getting a similar problem:
E: Dynamic MMap ran out of room
E: Error occured while processing xfce-mcs-plugins (NewVersion1)
E: Problem with MergeList
/var/lib/apt/lists/ayo.freshrpms.net_fedora_linux_development_i386_base_pkglist.core
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.
After closing that window and hit Refresh get:

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/6/i386/os/repodata/primary.xml
W: Release file did not contain checksum information for
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/6/i386/os/repodata/filelists.xml
W: Release file did not contain checksum information for
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/6/i386/repodata/primary.xml
W: Release file did not contain checksum information for
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/6/i386/repodata/filelists.xml
