I am just going to jump right into the middle of the thread here and ask for clarification. I have been doing my best to stay up-to-the-second on all the discussions, threads, and changes to Picl AKA Sync, but I am once again at a loss. To save time and digging again into threads...
Did we not, in at least two other threads, kill the idea of building anything on Sync 1.1? Is this Milestone 1 designed as a prototype, foundation, or springboard for the next best thing? to get things going, so to speak? a POC? or are we really planning on shipping this Milestone 1 object out to desktop and/or Android? Clarifications welcome, especially since this seems counter to other words in other threads. My perspective is that Milestone 1 is not something we would ship to end users. >> [1] On Android, this will look weird -- there will be a Firefox Account and a >> Sync Account at the same time. Milestone 1 charts the fastest route to Firefox Account on top of Sync 1.1. We can avoid creating two user-visible Android Account objects at slightly more engineering cost, which based on the feedback I'm hearing I will factor in to our Android plans moving forward.
