Howto did not work for me I am prepared to try anything though - so
suggestions welcome (its a windows 2005 device - aghh I hate windows but
love the hardware - hurry up opie)

usbview sees the device as below but cant find a serial
device /dev/ttyUSBx or tty/usb/x - hope this helps
