Superb idea and it would save a step in the configuration for new users.
I'll apply this but augment it to log a warning
if /usr/share/sync-engine/config.xml is not present for any reason. Note
that sync-engine will run without a config.xml - it will just use the
defaults.

I'll just check the code - I can't remember without looking whether I
used absolute paths only in the file sync stuff. If so I'll fix it so
that it can and then we can indeed use more sensible defaults.
