I brought up this in December [1] but unfortunately no one jumped at the offer. Any takers this time? Please add a bug to the bugtracker at Sourceforge [2] requesting GVFS support. I suggest a new module "synce-gvfs" but I suspect that there will be some copying and pasting from synce-gnomevfs.
