Hi,

As requested by Jc2k on IRC I'm posting here details.

I'm trying to synchronize contacts from Nokia 6230i to HP iPAQ 514
(which is WM6 device). I followed all instructions placed on synce.org
on Hardy and everything seems to work fine. However there are two
problems:
1. Polish (accented) characters are not properly transfered (ie Paweł
gets Pawe?) but I think this is opensync (or msynctool) problem in
general as I remember having the same problem with syncml plugin as
well
2. Not all contact details are transferred. It's even worse: default
phone type is not transferred. By default I mean: enter phone number,
choose save, enter name, choose ok. Some 90% of my contacts use that
type.

Now more detailes on 2nd point. When synced gnokii-sync and file-sync,
sample contact looks as follows:
BEGIN:VCARD
VERSION:2.1
FN:Test2
N:;Test2;;;
TEL;VOICE:501123456
END:VCARD

Additionally there are few more contact types that do not sync:
TEL;WORK:12345678
TEL;HOME;12345678

Logs from synchronization of file-sync (containing just the entry
above) and synce-opensync-plugin (empty contacts list) are at
http://tfuj.pl/osync/
synce.log comes from:
synce-sync-engine >synce.log 2>&1

Any hints what should get fixed to get all numbers from Nokia to get
synced? Syncing gnokii-sync to file-sync is not a problem so I suspect
something in synce plugin should be changed.

take care,
