The problem is that it to me it is still unclear what the exact window is that you are talking about. We have a gnome program, trayicon, and we have a KDE program (synce-kpm). ActiveSync is a Windows Mobile specific program and HTC in this sense is just a user of activesync, they do not provide this functionality themselves. It has been by design that microsoft has activesync only sync the my documents folder. Maybe you can change this somewhere in the registry, but I don't know anything about this.
