If any gentoo'ers do want to fix these, here are some comments from an
upstream point of view.

295749 - i have no idea what this means, what tests ?

299217 - that's quite interesting, I need to look into this for
upstream, but in the meantime he's right, delete the .a and .la during
install

138397 - never tried it, but the build might work without -Werror in
CFLAGS

248575 - short answer, synce-kde (which is now only the status icon
raki) is defunct, and should not hold up installation of the other
components; synce-kpm only supports WM5 at the moment because there
aren't any kde developers with a WM2003 device

298279 - no idea what this means :)

299115 - simple build dependency issue

227599 - ditto

277680 - the dbus conf file is included in synce-hal 0.14

213770 - ouch, vdccm ! drop it, use synce-hal as Iain says
