As I understand it, the problems occur because syncevolution is linked with the
Seahorse client libraries(?). But I'm barely connected for some time (dial-up
PSTN for the coming few days) and have not really the time to expand on this
ATM

Seems like a reasonable solution, besides that it requires someone to work on
it ;-)

I might take a look into this, later if/when the ui gets sorted out.
